TVGuide (Stealthily) Names Web Video Winners

By Greg Published on .

TVGuide, which cancelled its 2007 Online Video Awards show citing fears the ceremony would be inappropriate during the writers’ strike, named its winners in a press release, NewTeeVee says. The 1.75 million ballots cast by voters skewed toward videos connected with old-media brands or celebrities. Michael Eisner’s “Prom Queen” garnered a best actress nod for its star Laura Howard, and Will Ferrell’s “Funny or Die” won best comedy site. NBC collected the most awards with six.
