With Verizon, Time Warner Cable and Sprint cutting back on file-sharing platform Usenet offerings in the wake of New York state’s crackdown on child porn, Usenet is in the middle of a transformation, NewTeeVee reports. Other commercial Usenet access providers, such as Giganews, have been trying to lure customers away from the big ISPs with discounts.
