Viacom Will Not Take Identifiable User Info From YouTube

Viacom issued a statement saying that it hasn’t asked for and won’t be obtaining the personally identifiable information of any YouTube user as it proceeds with its copyright-infringement lawsuit against the video-sharing site, NewTeeVee reports. A recent court ruling ordered the site to give Viacom user data, raising privacy concerns. Any personal information will be stripped from the data that Viacom receives, the company said.
