Viacom’s MTV Finances Vice’s Edgy Web Video

Viacom’s MTV Networks Music and Logo group last year decided to finance VBS.tv, with content supplied by Vice magazine. The deal gave MTV a lab to experiment with low-cost Internet video programming, the New York Times says. VBS.tv had 184,000 unique visitors in August and has attracted advertisers including record companies and fashion labels.
