Vuze Asks FCC to Protect P2P Data Flow

Vuze, which distributes video for TV networks including A&E and PBS, joined a group asking the Federal Communications Commission to keep Internet service providers from interfering with peer-to-peer data transmission, MediaPost says. It’s the latest turn of the screw in the mounting battle between broadband providers and content companies that rely on P2P to transmit large files across the Web. Comcast has acknowledged that it manages P2P data flow but says it’s necessary to keep its system working.
