Warner Bros. picked up the production budget for the first five episodes of a Web series, “Kyle Piccolo: Comic Shop Therapist,” as part of its promotional efforts for its new Batman movie, “Dark Knight,” Silicon Alley Insider says. The film’s trailer will be attached to the series’ clips when they are distributed via YouTube, Blip.tv, MySpace, Daily Motion and iTunes. The series comes from For Your Imagination; its co-creator and director is X-Men illustrator John Cassaday. Warner Bros. investment was $36,000. -Elizabeth Jensen
