Startup content companies such as Minyanville.com, which provide news or entertainment, are being wooed by Internet giants such as Yahoo, News Corp. and Microsoft’s MSN, who want to capitalize on the grassroots audiences the little guys are developing, the Wall Street Journal says (Subscription required.) The big companies have teams that scour the Web looking for talent to ally as they search for new content, including video.
