Can Web’s ‘Quarterlife’ Go Big on TV?

The New York Times takes a look at traffic on Web drama “Quarterlife” and explores whether the series can succeed on NBC, which picked it up for a network TV debut. The online incarnation of the series had a big initial bump when it was linked on YouTube’s homepage, but since then, the numbers have been relatively modest. Creator Marshall Herskovitz said word of mouth is building on the project, which includes a social-networking component at www.Quarterlife.com, and that he’s determined to succeed on the Web.
