Yahoo Lets Users Go Live

By Sergio Published on .

Yahoo is testing its new Yahoo Live service, which allows users to stream live video of themselves and share clips, InformationWeek reports. Although still in its experimental phase, Yahoo Live will offer embeddable players that le users place video streams on other sites, record themselves watching other people’s videos, and chat. Yahoo Live competes with other services, such as Ustream.tv, which is rumored to be in talks with Microsoft to sell out for more $50 million. While other companies are also bidding on Ustream, Microsoft is hoping to purchase the company in its initial, prefunding phase for a lower price, Valleywag says.
