YouTube Explores Indie Films, Long Form Support

By Sergio Published on .

YouTube launched a new feature called “The Screening Room” where indie films and long-form video will be available, Silicon Alley Insider reports. Four new films will be added every two weeks and content will be available for purchase through filmmaker Web sites and digital downloads. The new feature is an outgrowth of YouTube’s decision to begin a test allowing content from partners that is longer than the previous 10-minute limit.
