PepsiCo announced plans to fold in units of Quaker Oats Co. after it closed the $13.8 billion acquisition Aug. 2. PepsiCo said Aug. 8 it will align PepsiCo's Tropicana brand with Quaker's Gatorade sports drink under one organization in the U.S. and overseas and will combine PepsiCo's Frito-Lay snack products and Quaker snack and food products in international markets under another unit. Another unit will combine Quaker's convenience foods (such as grain bars) and Frito-Lay non-chip snacks in North America. Among AdMarket stocks, 19 closed the week up, 31 down and none were unchanged.
