PROFILE OF THE WEEK: Publicis Groupe

Publicis Groupe became a component company of the Ad Age/Bloomberg AdMarket 50 Index last week. One of nine publicly traded advertising/marketing services companies in the index, Publicis takes the place previously held by Saatchi & Saatchi, which was acquired by Publicis this month. As part of the acquisition, Publicis began trading on the New York Stock Exchange Sept. 12, the first time the Paris-based company has been listed in the U.S. In trading Friday, Publicis closed at $37.44, up 1.2% for the week.
