WPP Group's stock price has fallen in March after faring better than shares in rival holding companies Interpublic Group of Cos. and Omnicom Group in January and February trading. WPP stock retreated from its $105 peak in early March, more than double last fall's price, to trade in the mid-$80s by last week. Even at that price, it carried a price/earnings multiple (46.9) higher than traders gave Omnicom (42.5) or Interpublic (36.8). In Nasdaq trading Friday, WPP closed at $87.75, off 10.23% for the week
