Wall Street sent New York Times Co. stock climbing after the company said it will meet earnings forecasts for 2000. Stock in Gannett Co., Tribune Co. and Knight Ridder also rose. Times Co. said it expects newspaper-group ad revenue to grow 5% to 7% next year, compared to 8.5% to 9.5% in 2000. It forecast earnings would grow 10% to 15% next year compared to 17% to 18% this year. In trading Friday, New York Times Co. closed at $40.94, up 14.71% for the week.
