Revlon stock traded sharply higher on reports it might be sold to the Coty unit of Dutch consumer products marketer Joh. A. Benckiser. Rumors sent Revlon's stock up early last week and on May 21 The New York Times reported talks were under way with Coty, which markets such fragrance brands as Jovan Musk, Lady Stetson and Sand & Sable.
