After gaining a Ph.D. in machine learning (and a brief career in academia), Peter spent 12 years working in the financial markets in a variety of roles in the quantitative finance sphere, including low latency pricing and portfolio analytics (xVA), and culminating in being responsible for equity derivatives risk and pricing technology globally for UBS. More recently Peter has left the financial markets to rediscover his roots in machine learning and is currently the CTO for Quantcast—a leading ad-tech firm that uses machine learning to target advertising in real time.
