During the first quarter of 2004, ABC Family saw double-digit gains in primetime with all key demos (1Q '04 vs. 1Q '03):
- +33% in HH rating
- +40% in Total Viewers
- +62% with Adults 18-34 (000)
- +58% with Adults 18-49 (000)
- +54% with Women 18-34 (000)
- +52% with Women 18-49 (000)
ABC Family has also achieved four quarters of growth with Adults 18-49 in (000) viewers. 1Q '03 (295), 2Q '03 (338), 3Q '03 (407), 4Q '03 (453), 1Q '04 (465).
ABC Family was the No. 1 basic cable channel with Teens in the afternoon for 1Q '04 (M-F 3-6P). Favorite acquired series ("Full House" and "7th Heaven") and successful original series ("Knock First" and "Switched") helped drive teens to the channel.
Viewers are both young and upscale as of March '04, with a median age of 34 years and a median household income of $50,000.

Original Movies—A new ABC Family Original Movie premieres every month in '05. Stars of recent and future ABC Family Original Movies include Fran Drescher, Marilu Henner, Patrick Dempsey, Jason Priestley, Virginia Madsen and Gary Cole.
Acquired Movies—Recent acquisitions for '04-'05 include such Hollywood hits as "Harry Potter & The Sorcerer's Stone," "Good Will Hunting," "One Fine Day," "Top Gun," "Home Alone II" and "The Object of My Affection."

Hits—Acquired hit series include three new series premiering this October—"Smallville," "Gilmore Girls" and "The Jamie Kennedy Experiment."
Holidays—Stunts and sweepstakes help families celebrate the major holidays of the year. For the seventh consecutive year, ABC Family will celebrate the spirit of the season with its branded "25 Days of Christmas" programming event, this year featuring over 130 hours of holiday-themed entertainment from Dec. 1 through 25.
Original Series—Four new series—scripted and reality—come in 2005.
Kids—Mornings on ABC Family is the kids’ action-adventure block "JETIX," featuring the newest series from hit franchises such as "Power Rangers," "Digimon" and "Beyblade." |
