MoveOn.Org Goes to Bat for Obama

Hope Ad Is ... Well, It's Something

Kudos to MoveOn.org for taking some risk with political advertising. The below ad portrays "hope," as Gawker puts it, a "lot like a sexually transmitted disease." And it's sort of almost funny. It's certainly a change of pace from screechy issues advocacy ads. And it manages to relay Obama's "hope" message without being as sanctimonious as some of the other "hope" messaging. Will it resonate? Maybe. Will it get any more youth voters out of their chairs? Probably not. Will it swing any voters? Definitely not. Still, it's good to see something different in the arena.
