Obama Unveils Olympic Spot; McCain Accuses Obama of Raising Taxes

Barack Obama's camp unveils one of its Olympic spots. It's a salute to the American worker called "Hands." (I think both candidates will refrain from hard-hitting attack ads during their national broadcast spots running in games. But I could be wrong.)

John McCain's camp released a spot dubbed "Painful" in which he accuses Barack Obama of raising taxes. It's running in swing states. Obama's camp immediately released a statement countering the claims with information from Factcheck.org: "The resolution does not contain a specific provision to raise tax rates, but rather assumes that most of the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts expire as scheduled in 2011."

obama's ad is much more effective than McCain's. The McCain camp is taking a dangerous route in making claims that can be easily refutable by Obama's camp. McCain's ads indicate desperation, playing catch-up that are perceived by the voter and all equates to "loser." In this election, the economy is such that for the first time in recent election history, people are wanting more insight and facts on turning Washington around and McCain's ads simply aren't following through with this stated need.
