BEIJING (AdAgeChina.com) -- China is expected to be the world's seventh largest wine market by 2013, according to a study by Vinexpo, organizer of major wine and spirits exhibitions. Chinese will drink about 1.26 billion bottles of wine in 2013, a 32% increase from 2009.
China was the eighth largest wine market last year, behind leaders Italy, France and the U.S. in the top three spots. Imported wines only accounted for 11.8% of China's consumption in 2008, with France the largest overseas supplier. France's market share alone is expected to climb to 15.8% in 2013.
