China's TV audience passes 1.2 billion

China's television audience in 2007 reached 1.205 billion, counting viewers aged four and older. That audience has doubled since 1987, and grown by 90 million since 2002. About 99.9% of Chinese households own a television set, with access to an average of 32 channels  including cable and satellite options, twice as many channels as in 2002.
