Hong Kong Consumers Still Spending

HONG KONG (AdAgeChina.com) -- In Hong Kong, 77% of residents surveyed said they are spending the same amount on consumer staples while 54% keep spending on luxury items, even though 58% of respondents admit they are worried about the economy, according to a study by Aegis-owned Synovate.

Most Hong Kong consumers surveyed said they are spending the same amount on basic food items (86%), hot beverages like coffee and tea (68%), dairy products (66%), cosmetics (58%), and healthcare products (53%).
