TV shopping sales reach $1.5 billion

TV shopping channel sales in China reached 10.5 billion RMB ($1.5 billion) last year, up 87.5% from 2004, and equal to about 0.01% of China's total retail sales. Shopping channel sales are forecast to almost double to 20 billion RMB ($2.9 billion) this year. The most common purchases:  home supplies and mobile phones, followed by home appliances, beauty products, digital products and computers.
