HONG KONG (AdAgeChina.com) -- Aegis Group is promoting Chris Ryan to CEO of Aegis Media's operation in Hong Kong starting in January 2010. Previously, he was managing director of the group's digital division Isobar-Wwwins.
Since joining Isobar-wwwins Hong Kong in June 2008, Mr. Ryan has expanded the media agency's search business, established a planning function and launched a customer relationship marketing service, Astro.
His background "in both traditional and digital media [made him] the natural choice to take on the role of CEO and oversee both Isobar and Carat," said K.F. Lee, Aegis Media's CEO, Greater China, based in Shanghai. "He will ensure our clients benefit from the provision of truly integrated online and offline services."
In addition, Will Swayne, the managing director of Carat, Hong Kong since 2007, as well as regional director for Aegis Media's global client management, will relocate to the U.S. at the end of the year. Based in New York, Mr. Swayne will take on a new role at Carat in North America working with international advertisers. His exact title has not been disclosed.
