Former Euro RSCG Executive Is Now Managing Director of DDB, Beijing

BEIJING (AdAgeChina.com) -- DDB has hired Richard Tan, 45, as VP, China of DDB Group and managing director of DDB Guoan, the Omnicom Group agency's joint venture in Beijing with the Chinese conglomerate Citic Group formed in June 2006.

In a new position for DDB, Mr. Tan will be responsible for managing the agency's Beijing office and driving business development.

DDB Guoan has about 60 staff working with advertisers such as China Dongxiang Group, which makes Kappa shoes, Hua Xia Bank Co., Chinese dairy Inner Mongolia YILI Industrial Group Co., and the Airport City Development Co.

Previously, Mr. Tan was CEO, Greater China at Euro RSCG Worldwide, based in Shanghai. He has also worked at D'Arcy, McCann Erickson, BBDO Worldwide, Batey Ads and, in Singapore, at DDB Worldwide.

DDB's Jesse Lin, currently managing director of DDB, Shanghai has also been appointed VP, China for DDB Group.
