Elvis Chau Also Promoted to Exec Creative Director

SHANGHAI (AdAgeChina.com) -- JWT has appointed Eric Lee as general manager of its Shanghai office, reporting to Donald Chan, who was hired earlier this summer as the WPP agency's China CEO.

Mr. Lee spent the past ten years at Leo Burnett, Shanghai, several of which were spent working closely with Mr. Chan, who spent 12 years at the Publicis Groupe agency in Hong Kong and Shanghai. Mr. Lee's last position at Leo Burnett was operations director of the Shanghai office.

In his new role at JWT, Mr. Lee succeeds Michiel Hofstee, who recently relocated to Dubai as multinational account director for the Middle East and interim managing director of JWT, Dubai.

JWT, Shanghai has also promoted Elvis Chau to exec creative director from senior creative director. Mr. Chau joined JWT in Singapore in 1999, and worked at the agency's Bangkok office before moving to China.
