Ogilvy & Mather's Danny Higgins

Former Saatchi & Saatchi Creative Joins WPP in Shanghai

SHANGHAI (AdAgeChina.com) -- Ogilvy & Mather has hired Danny Higgins as exec creative director-global clients, a new position in Shanghai. Mr. Higgins will work with advertisers such as Unilever alongside Kevin Lee, who remains exec creative director of Ogilvy & Mather, Shanghai.

The U.K. native was previously based in Sydney, where he worked as a consultant at agencies like Droga5 and Publicis Mojo. Before that, he spent three years as regional creative director for Saatchi & Saatchi's operations in the United Arab Emirates based in Dubai.

Mr. Higgins has worked in Asia before. He moved to Singapore in 1991, as creative director at Ball Partnership, an Asian agency network later acquired by Euro RSCG. He later held senior creative positions at Saatchi & Saatchi and Leo Burnett in Singapore and Sydney.

Ogilvy & Mather has boosted its creative in Shanghai with five new creative directors, including Karen Wong, previously at DDB, Hong Kong, KienHoe Ong, formerly at Saatchi & Saatchi, Shanghai and Xavier Wong, from Genesis.

Khoo Choo Kian was previously group creative head at Omnicom's NAGADDB, Kuala Lumpur, while Troy Sullivan was transferred to Shanghai from Hong Kong, where he was O&M's regional creative partner.

O&M's OgilvyOne division has appointed Michael Chu in Shanghai as creative director. Previously he was the creative director at Iris, Beijing.
