SHANGHAI (AdAgeChina.com) -- Eddie Wong, 45, is returning to TBWA Group as executive creative director for China three-and-a-half years after he left the agency for a creative job at Euro RSCG Worldwide.
He succeeds Carol Lam, who recently resigned from TBWA after a two-year stint at the Omnicom Group agency to pursue other opportunities.
Mr. Wong's last agency position was exec creative director, China at Euro RSCG, Shanghai, a position he left in May 2008, to work as a freelance creative consultant for marketers in China.
After a stint in Hong Kong at Leo Burnett and Batey Ads, he relocated to China in 2000 to run the creative department at D'Arcy in Beijing.
When Mr. Wong led the creative department at TBWA in China from 2002 to 2005, he helped turn the agency into one of China's most respected and awarded creative shops.
At Euro RSCG, he'll be reunited with the agency's managing director. Ruth Ang, to work on brands such as Adidas, Nivea, Pernod Ricard, and McDonald's. Mr. Wong and Ms. Ang both report to Donald Chan, CEO of TBWA Group in China.
