NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Tremor Media, the largest independent network, reached a deal last week to acquire Scanscout, one of its smaller competitors, in a bold attempt to consolidate the market, and create a scaled competitor to Hulu and YouTube. Separately, Undertone Networks is expected to announce a deal Monday to buy Jambo Media, a video syndication and ad platform.
The Headline: Tremor-Scanscout Merger Creates Web Video Ad Player on Par With Hulu

Tremor is on par with Hulu based on video ads served, but not on Video content. Hulu delivers TV quality video from the top producers/directors/actors in Hollywood. What Quality content does Tremor deliver? That is my question to Tremor. All Video is NOT created equal. Just ask You Tube. If they could sell UGC, You Tube would have ad sales in the billions. How about CPMs? Obviously content determines the CPM that each company can charge marketers.

I look forward to additional comments and feedback from Team Tremor & Hulu.

Best, JBjr.
