Doritos - Tennis

January 28, 2001 | :30

Ali Landry, Miss USA 1996 and Doritos endorser, attempts a tennis-court version of her laundromat stunt from the brand's 1998 Super Bowl ad.

Landry was making her third Super Bowl appearance for Frito-Lay's Doritos, following the 1998 debut for Doritos 3D snacks ("Laundromat") and a 1999 return that finds her setting off library sprinklers. All three spots were created by BBDO New York.

"Tennis" would turn out to be Doritos' last trip to the Super Bowl until the dawn in 2007 of "Crash the Super Bowl," its contest seeking ads from consumers themselves, with "Live the Flavor" and "Check Out Girl."
