Victoria's Secret in 2008 returned to the Super Bowl for the first time since 1999 ("Runway") with this 30-second ad created in-house. The spot, starring Victoria's Secret Angel Adriana Lima, was part of a strategy devised by parent Limited Brands to reinvigorate the lingerie brand by reminding viewers of Valentine's Day, traditionally Victoria's Secret second-largest selling season.
Afterward the company sat out the game again until 2015, when it returned to the theme seen here ("Let the Real Games Begin"). Lima would be back before then, with spots in the 2012 game for Teleflora ("Valentine's Night") and Kia ("A Dream Car. For Real Life").
