How was your first night in Cannes?

Too late. It started with soccer watching. Then to the Martinez then out in the gutter. Wrapped up at 3:30.

I like our (Ariston) washing machine spot, of course. I have a sentimental attachment to the "Big Ad." Love that. Smooth E could be a dark horse. It's so out there you can't dissect it.

How would you describe your experience in your (relatively new) role as Leo CCO?

There are so many different aspects to it, but my most honest review of it is it's the one job I would consider an honor. It's a great opportunity. I love the plave, the people, I've spent the entirely of my career there. It's a moment in time.

Why do you come to Cannes?

The first time I came, to be honest I thought it was weird. But it's great. It's not that often that you get to hang out with everyone, even with the people you work with and here you see people from around the world.

Awards I suppose are a barometer of health- whether it's the agency or clients. People are always looking for a way to see how they stack up.
