Now in its 11th year, Hispanicize is the is the largest virtual gathering of Latinx influencers, content creators, entrepreneurs, media and entertainment innovators. The Hispanicize #UnidosTogether Summit on Oct. 15 marks the end of Hispanic Heritage Month and includes the reveal of the Tecla & Latinavator Awards Winners. NGL Collective—founded in 2010 by Leguizamo and Chitel—has owned and produced the event since 2019.
Chitel is an entrepreneur who has spent more than two decades building media companies that amplify Latinx voices. Leguizamo is an actor, producer and comedian who rose to fame in the 1990s with roles in films including "Carlito's Way," "Super Mario Bros." and "The Pest."
His theatre work, which explores the Latinx experience, often through an autobiographical lens, includes "Spic-O-Rama," "Ghetto Klown," "Latin History for Morons" and the musical "Kiss My Aztec."
