U.S. Hispanic Agencies: Enter the 2016 Wave Festival for Latin America
The call for entries is open for the Wave Festival, a leading ad festival for Latin America that includes the U.S. Hispanic market and Puerto Rico.

Advertising Age is partnering with the Wave, to be held April 13 and 14 in Rio de Janeiro. The regional Wave Festival is organized by Meio & Mensagem, Brazil's top advertising and marketing publication and events organizer, and Ad Age's longtime partner in Brazil.
Last year, 10 U.S. Hispanic agencies won 24 trophies at the Wave Festival for Latin America.
All judging is done onsite by judges from the region during the festival at the Copacabana Palace in Rio.
This year, the U.S. Hispanic market will have five judges. They are:
Ivan Calle, executive creative director at Zubi Advertising, will judge Press and Outdoor at the Wave. Mr. Calle, a native of Colombia, joined the Miami-based independent shop 15 years ago as a senior art director and was promoted up the ranks until he was named executive creative director in 2011.
Javier Campopiano does double duty as chief creative officer of both Los Angeles-based Conill and Saatchi & Saatchi Latin America, and will judge Film and Film Craft at the Wave. Originally from Argentina, Mr. Campopiano joined Conill in 2014 from New York agency FCB Garfinkel, where he was chief creative officer.
Curro Chozas, creative and innovation director at independent shop Grupo Gallegos, will also judge Film and Film Craft. At Grupo, Mr. Chozas worked on the "Brave" spot for the California Milk Processor Board, part of the long-running "Toma Leche" campaign and one of the biggest winners at last year's Wave, picking up four Film and Film Craft awards.
Fernando Osuna, chief creative officer of Lopez Negrete Communications, the biggest U.S. Hispanic agency, will judge both the Direct and Radio categories, as well as choosing the Green Wave winners. Last year, his "Iceberg" posters showing how a Walmart product was an ecologically-friendly alternative to plastic bags won at the Wave.
Guillermo Tragant is the Dallas-based principal and creative director of Richards/Lerma, as well as founder and creative director of Furia World in Buenos Aires. He oversees creative teams in Dallas, Mexico City and Buenos Aires. Mr. Tragant will chair the branded content category that the Wave started last year, and join the other jury presidents in judging the Blue Wave award that celebrates big ideas.
