Political creative agency SS+K hired Vice’s former global CMO, Nadja Bellan-White, as its first-ever CEO. Prior to her time at Vice, she was an executive partner and WPP team leader for Ogilvy, where she worked on clients such as Unilever across beauty and personal care with a focus on Dove, along with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. This is the latest executive departure from Vice. In February, former CEO Nancy Dubuc left the company and one of her successors, co-CEO Hozefa Lokhandwala, stepped down last week. Chief Financial Officer Bruce Dixon now remains as Vice’s sole CEO.
Innocean USA said it has added four new creative executives. Brandon Mugar joins as executive creative director, while Amar Marwaha, Miguel Mayen and Luiz Vicente Simoes join as creative directors across the Genesis business and other projects. The hires follow the additions of Tony Kalathara, Marcella Coad and Martins Zelcs as group creative directors earlier in the year. The creative department is led by Jason Sperling, who joined as chief creative officer in February.
Giant Spoon has launched Deep Blue Sports + Entertainment. The new full-service agency was created to corner the market on women’s sports, particularly ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Deep Blue’s first affiliate partner is Game On, which will provide clients with global sports insights and international sports diplomacy strategy.
Blockchain company Kadena has named Geletka+ as its first agency of record. The Chicago-based agency will lead a brand refresh and help Kadena expand in the blockchain industry.
Mindshare has been named global media partner to Allianz Group. Several other GroupM agencies will also help on the account, with mSix&Partners supporting the business in Germany, where Allianz is headquartered, and EssenceMediacom continuing to service the nine international markets where it was the incumbent.
