Ad Age works with Buck Consultants, which has nearly a century of experience in employee and human-resource consulting, to conduct employer and employee surveys which identify the companies with the best benefits and the most-engaged employees. Companies that wish to be considered must have at least 40 full-time employees based in the U.S.

Companies ranked on the list will have the opportunity to promote their unique cultures, as well as understand how they stack up against competitors. They will be given access to candid feedback from employees, and each company will receive a complimentary report summarizing responses from participants across the agency, ad tech and media sectors.

In 2012, Ad Age highlighted 40 of the best places to work in advertising and media. Hailing from around the country, these companies, from big shops to independents, were recognized for their outstanding benefits, nurturing cultures and standout spaces.
