Account Estimated at $10 Million to $20 Million

NEW YORK ( -- WPP Group's Berlin Cameron United has landed creative duties for Comcast's $10 million to $20 million business-services account after a review, executives familiar with the matter said.

Boston-based Pile & Co. led the search, which in the final round saw Berlin Cameron face off against Havas' Euro RSCG.

Berlin Cameron referred calls to the client, who confirmed the move. Euro RSCG and Pile declined to comment.

Richards Group is incumbent
The incumbent agency for the business is Dallas-based independent Richards Group, which did not participate in the review (the shop has a policy not to defend pitches for its business).

Comcast's business-services division provides phone and high-speed internet for small- and medium-size businesses. Measured media spending for the account is unclear, although several executives familiar with the matter estimated the account's billings at between $10 million and $20 million.

The shift does not affect Omnicom Group's Goodby Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco, which will continue to handle creative duties for the consumer portion of Comcast's account, where it has been since 2005.
