Edward Jones Seeks Agency to Handle Creative Duties

NEW YORK ( -- Brokerage firm Edward Jones said it has begun a search for an agency to handle its creative account, estimated to be worth between $25 million to $30 million in billings.

The assignment includes consumer advertising, direct-response creative, and media and interactive work in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. The St. Louis-based brokerage had previously used creative agencies on a project basis.

PHD retains media
Omnicom Group's PHD USA will retain consumer media planning and buying duties.

Westport Consulting, in Danbury, Conn., is handling the review.

Requests for proposal are due Aug. 15, with a long list of contenders expected by the end of the month and a short list to follow in September. A final decision is expected in October.
