Euro RSCG to Handle Three Kraft Cracker Brands

Spending on Ritz, Triscuit and Toasted Chips Totals $50 Million

CHICAGO ( -- Kraft Foods has awarded $50 million in creative advertising duties on three cracker brands -- Ritz, Triscuit and Toasted Chips -- to Euro RSCG, New York.
Havas' Euro won the accounts in a reviewthat included Interpublic Group of Cos.' DraftFCB, New York, and WPP Group's Ogilvy & Mather, among others. Euro already handled creative duties for Kraft's Carte Noir coffee and Cote d'Or chocolate brands.

Formerly with JWT
Kraft shifted the cracker accounts -- and several other large businesses -- out of JWT, Chicago, earlier this year. Those account moves led the WPP agency to reduce its Chicago staff 25%, to about 90, and also led to the departures of President Ros King and Chief Creative Officer Graham Woodall. The office is now under the direction of New York co-Presidents Rosemarie Ryan and Ty Montague, although plans to hire local managers to report to the pair are in the works.

Kraft's Lunchables brand, which also shifted out of JWT, had already been awarded to DraftFCB. Reviews continue for creative chores on Kraft Singles, Grey Poupon mustard and Oscar Meyer cold cuts.
