FanDuel Casino hires Orchard as creative agency of record

FanDuel Casino, the online casino arm of FanDuel, has appointed Orchard Creative as its creative agency of record. The decision was made following a competitive review that ended late last year. The online casino platform is another significant win for Orchard, which won business with Firehouse Subs last year. The Brooklyn, New York-based indie also works with brands such as Etsy and Ocean Spray. FanDuel Casino has been boosting its ad spend. In the first three quarters of 2024, the company spent $62 million on U.S. measured media, outpacing the $61 million it spent in 2023 as a whole, according to data from MediaRadar. The online platform, which debuted as a standalone app in 2020, is available in five U.S. states—New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Connecticut and West Virginia—as well as Ontario, Canada. Daniele Phillips, FanDuel Casino’s VP of brand strategy, said the company will be looking for Orchard to help expand its brand platform and create “brand moments” to maintain its positioning in the U.S. The company previously worked with Mischief @ No Fixed Address since 2022. Mischief’s debut campaign for FanDuel Casino took a comedic approach toward the idea of "winning.” The brand continued that campaign with another push in September 2023. It wasn’t immediately clear what led the gambling app to part ways with Mischief, although the indie shop did pick up business with MGM Resorts last January. MGM is notably affiliated with online sportsbook BetMGM, which has been working with Highdive for creative work. We want to thank them very publicly.” FanDuel Casino’s advertising is separate from FanDuel, both of which are owned by Dublin-based Flutter Entertainment.
