Incumbent Pro Media Loses $50 Million Business

NEW YORK ( -- Grey Global Group's MediaCom has won the estimated $50 million Staples media buying and planning account, according to Shira Goodman, executive VP marketing at the retailer.

MediaCom bested a handful of undisclosed media shops that included independent incumbent Pro Media of Natick, Mass.

Staples spent $47 million in measured media from January to September last year. The retailer's creative advertising account remains with independent Cliff Freeman & Partners.
