NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Waltham, Mass.-based Polaroid is talking to agencies on an invitation-only basis about its advertising, the company said.

"We're looking at everything from creative, media buying and promotions on a global basis," company spokesman Skip Colford said.

Publicis incumbents
Currently, Polaroid's creative is handled by Publicis Groupe's Leo Burnett while sibling Starcom is responsible for media buying. Both agencies are in Chicago.

Polaroid spent $15 million in measured media in the U.S. in 2002, according to TNS Media Intelligence/CMR.

Mr. Colford would not comment on the company's time frame or on specific agencies engaged in discussions with Polaroid.
