Work Goes to KSL Media in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES ( -- Premiere Marketing & Distribution Group, an upstart film distribution and marketing company, has switched its $60 million-plus account to KSL Media, Los Angeles, according to company executives.

The account had been with Publicis Groupe's Optimedia, Dallas.

Six movies a year
Premiere plans to launch six modestly budgeted theatrical movies a year, each with an $11 million marketing budget.

Premiere's first movie, Slap Her, She's French, starring Piper Perabo (Coyote Ugly), will debut June 7.

Premiere CEO Mitch Goldman and Chief Financial Officer Ed Gelfand talked to KSL two years ago about the business -- but instead gave it to Optimedia.

After two months with the Dallas shop, it has now been switched to KSL.
