French holding company Publicis Groupe has announced structural and leadership changes for Publicis Media, its newly created network that aligns previously separate media agencies and operations.
Publicis Media Consolidates Agency Brands, Reshuffles Leadership

"The new Publicis Media imagined by Steve King is fully equipped to fit the future and best serve our clients," said Publicis Groupe CEO Maurice Lévy in a statement. "A leaner and simpler structure will bring more value to our clients and will further accelerate our growth."
New Publicis Media leadership
The move consolidates agency brands and adds a new layer of global
leadership for the newly consolidated network.
Zenith Optimedia's Tim Jones will serve as regional CEO for the Americas; Iain Jacob as regional CEO for Europe the Middle East and Africa; and Gerry Boyle as regional CEO for Asia Pacific. Adrian Sayliss will become chief financial officer for Publicis Media; Séverine Charbon will become the chief talent officer; and John Sheehy will oversee global clients.
Mr. Jones has served as CEO of media agency network Zenith Optimedia in North America; Mr. Jacob as CEO for media agency network Starcom Mediavest in EMEA; Mr. Boyle as the APAC lead for Zenith Optimedia; and Mr. Sayliss as Vivaki chair in the U.K. and global chief operating officer for Zenith Optimedia.
Agency consolidation and leadership
Publicis Media will consolidate its six global agency brands --
Starcom, Mediavest, Spark, Zenith, Optimedia and Blue 449 -- into four global
agency brands. Starcom and Zenith will each continue to operate as
global agency brands. Mediavest/Spark will be a third large global
agency brand. Optimedia/Blue 449 will be brought together to form a
powerful global challenger brand
Each agency will be led by a global brand president responsible for leading clients, driving growth and enabling best work, the company said. Lisa Donohue will serve as global brand president for Starcom; Vittorio Bonori for Zenith; Brian Terkelsen for Mediavest/Spark and Andras Vigh for Optimedia/Blue 449.
There will be four U.S. CEOs, all reporting into Publicis Media CEO of the Americas Tim Jones. Chris Boothe will be U.S. CEO of Mediavest/Spark, Dave Ehlers of Optimedia/Blue 449. Lou Rossi will continue to serve as U.S. CEO at Zenith and Lisa Donohue will continue as U.S. CEO for Starcom until a successor is named. All U.S. brand leadership will report into Tim Jones, CEO of Americas.
Mr. Bonori was Zenith lead in various international regions; Mr. Terkelsen was U.S. CEO for Mediavest; and Mr. Boothe was CEO of Spark.
Vivaki executive and Zenith vet Dave Penski will become chief investment officer for Publicis Media in the U.S. overseeing all media investment and media vendor partnerships. He'll also report into Mr. Jones.
Vivaki will also be integrated into a centralized "Global Practices" group that includes resources such as content, trading and buying, performance and business transformation, among others.
Larger Publicis reorganization
The media changes follow Publicis' larger reorganization into four
hubs, including Publicis Communications overseeing all creative
brands, led by Arthur Sadoun; Publicis Media led by Steve King;
Publicis.Sapient and its digital agencies led by Alan Herrick; and
Publicis Health, led by Nick Colucci. Publicis also moved Laura
Desmond, who has served as global CEO of Starcom Mediavest Group
and its individual brands, into a new chief revenue officer
role.
