Media Kitchen Awarded Online Brokerage's Media Account

NEW YORK ( -- Financial-services provider Harris has named independent StrawberryFrog, New York, its advertising agency of record for its online brokerage HarrisDirect.

StrawberryFrog beat out three agencies to be AOR for the online brokerage.
Media Kitchen, part of MDC Partners’ Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners, won media duties on the estimated $20 million account. WPP Group’s Grey Interactive remains HarrisDirect’s interactive agency of record.

Strawberry Frog beat out Interpublic Group of Cos.’ Hill Holliday Connors Cosmopulos, New York; Publicis Groupe-backed Bartle Bogle Hegarty, New York; and WPP’s Grey Worldwide.

Consultant ADvice & ADvisors, New York, managed the review.

The Jersey City, N.J.-marketer split with the incumbent, Havas’ Euro RSCG, New York, after the agency won Charles Schwab’s account last year. Harris is division of the Bank of Montreal.

This was the second win this week for Strawberry Frog, whose Amsterdam headquarters got onto Coca-Cola Co.'s global roster by picking up Coke Light duties in Germany.
