Zenith Captures Jenny Craig's $70 Million Media Account

Brand Aims to Maximize Reach by Choosing Parent Company Nestle's Agency of Record

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Zenith Media has won Jenny Craig's estimated $70 million media-planning and -buying account, beating out incumbent Carat after a competitive review.

The Publicis Groupe-backed shop is the agency of record for Nestle, which owns Jenny Craig, in the U.S. and handles a number of other Nestle brands. The move by Jenny Craig to bring Zenith in is an effort to take advantage of the relationship the agency has with its parent company.

"We are aligning our assignments with the rest of our parent company, Nestle, to take advantage of buying scale media cost efficiencies," said Scott Parker, VP-marketing and new business development, Jenny Craig. "This transition offers Jenny Craig a great opportunity to maximize our marketing-budget reach and tap into markets that we have previously not had the chance to fully engage."

Jenny Craig also made an agency switch with its PR account, handing the business over to Taylor after a review that didn't include four-year incumbent Lippe Taylor.
