Jackie Ramsey has been named ad director of Advertising Age.
Ms. Ramsey was promoted from sales director, digital and Internet Week, where she led sponsorship sales for Internet Week New York and headed up the sales team's efforts in working with leading and emerging digital companies on innovative media opportunities for Ad Age. She joined the Crain Communications publication in November 2012 as senior sales executive focused on expanding business on the West Coast.
In her new role, Ms. Ramsey will be responsible for directing the sales team and driving ad sales and sponsorship revenue for Ad Age and Internet Week.
"Jackie's passion for the Ad Age brand and the creativity and thoughtfulness she puts into the work she does with our clients and the Ad Age team made her a natural choice for this role," said Allison Arden, VP-publisher, Ad Age, in announcing the promotion.
Before joining Ad Age, Ms. Ramsey worked for Time Inc. as Eastern ad director of Sunset magazine. She has also served as publisher of Bauer Media's Teen Group. She began her career on the marketing team of Hearst Corp.'s Lifetime magazine and quickly worked her way up in the sales organizations at Life magazine and Entertainment Weekly.
Prior to her sales career, Ms. Ramsey was a professional actress and holds a degree in fine arts from the University of Michigan.
