"Face it, your TV, it's tired," the voiceover tells us in a new brand spot for DirecTV that's set to debut next week. The commercial, from BBDO/N.Y. and Biscuit director Noam Murro, confirms this suspicion by showing TV programming of all genres in which the players are literally exhausted. A woman in a laundry detergent testimonial can barely get through her lines, anchors snooze at the news desk, and a talk show host loses his place entirely -- all of which is a setup for DirecTV's new positioning: "It's time to rethink TV."
