24/7 Real Media introduces rich media certification program

New York—Ad network 24/7 Real Media announced Monday it has launched its Rich Media Vendor Certification program. To obtain certification, a vendor must pass a four-step process that includes a check of its coding accuracy and a test of its campaign in a testing lab to ensure acceptable delivery time. Vendors that pass become 24/7 Real Media Rich Media Certified, according to the company.

“Ad-counting discrepancies and technical glitches surrounding rich media ads have resulted in a great deal of friction and a tremendous amount of lost revenue for vendors, advertisers and publishers,” said Tom Swenson, product manager for 24/7 Real Media’s Rich Media Vendor Certification Program, in a statement.

“24/7 Real Media’s Rich Media Vendor Certification Program will reassure all parties that the rich media creative will run smoothly across our network, and that performance metrics will be accurate.”
