‘New York Times’ launches Business Day online

New York—The New York Times on Tuesday launched a new business section, Business Day, on The newspaper said it envisions the site ( as a “business home page.”

The site includes a latest news module, an “Insight & Analysis” section and multimedia content.

“The upshot of these changes and the newly relaunched Business Day section front is to provide our readers with all the news, analysis, commentary and business tools they need in one place—on,” Lawrence Ingrassia, the newspaper’s business editor, said in a statement.

Separately, The New York Times plans to open new bureaus in Kansas City, Mo., and Phoenix later this year, according to reports by various media outlets.
